STATEMENT OF: Bill Sigler

CANDIDATE FOR: Member of the City Council

It is time for a change . In order for this town to thrive in the next millennium we need strong, professional, respectful, NEW leadership from dedicated residents who understand that every election is about our future, not our past… individuals who focus on building a cooperative effort between government, business owners, and residents… individuals who can listen to competing interests with an open mind.

If elected to the city council, I will work hand in hand with residents and business owners in finding solutions to their issues and concerns. Improving the public restrooms on the beach, accelerating the pier's reconstruction, creating incentives for property enhancement, reducing the parking dilemma, community policing, undergrounding of utilities, and park beautification will surely lead to increased property values, increased foot traffic for businesses, and a pleasant experience for visitors. I also believe that private funding/management of certain aspects presently handled by government could allow for tax breaks and/or financial surplus. Lastly, I plan to donate the salary I would receive as a councilmember to a different charity each month .

I believe I can represent the people of this community with vigor, pride, and compassion. Let's build a future together.
