STATEMENT OF RON PIZER

CANDIDATE FOR HERMOSA BEACH CITY GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Member of the City Council

Ron Pizer will be a driving force for the vision, planning, and implementation of policies and projects that will revitalize our City and improve our way of life.   He will make informed decisions by objectively listening to inputs from residents, business owners, property owners, and City staff.

Ron has over 35 years experience in business, public service, professional trade organizations, and the U.S. Navy.   His extensive business experience ranges from direct labor to CEO.   He currently serves as Planning Commissioner, and was previously Commissioner on the Downtown Business Enhancement Commission.  His understanding of public service, management, finance, technology, and planning provides the experience required to set clear policy and get the job done.

His priorities:   Establish the total task/cost and financing choices to improve all of our residential streets and to complete the Downtown Plan making these areas more attractive and pedestrian friendly.   Improve the policymaking activity so our commissions, staff and public have a better understanding of the City Councils' direction.   He supports increasing parking for better access to downtown businesses, recreation, and residential guest parking.
