STATEMENT OF PETER TUCKER

CANDIDATE FOR HERMOSA BEACH CITY GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Member of the City Council

I love Hermosa Beach.   What a town!   For the past 29 years I have lived, raised my family and worked here.   In return, I have tried to give back to our community.   I am a member (past Chair) of the Planning Commission.   I have also volunteered in many local activities including the Veterans Memorial, Vetter Windmill restoration, Surf Festival, Women's Club Pancake Breakfast, R/UDAT, and HB Little League (former president).   With your support, I want to continue to give back to Hermosa and work to improve the quality of life for all of its residents by focusing on:

Minimizing the NEVATIVE  IMPACTS of downtown and beach events.

Enforcing ALL Conditional Use Permits.

REDUCING storm and street run-off into the bay.

Updating zoning codes to preserve Hermosa's DISTINCTIVE character.

Attracting a STRONG retail sector.

Neighborhood parking ENFORCEMENT.

Restricting UUT funds to street and sewer projects.

Creating a committee on the NEEDS of P.C.H. and Aviation.

Maintaining LOCAL control of police and fire services.

Limiting IMPACTS from Redondo redevelopment.

A regional alternative to LAX expansion.

Help me keep Hermosa the community we all love by bringing the CONTROL of our city back to its residents.   I WILL LISTEN.
