STATEMENT OF: Kathy Dunbabin

CANDIDATE FOR: Member of the City Council

Education and Qualifications: B.A., History/Math, Texas Tech University; Hermosa Beach Parks, Recreation and Community Resources Commission, Chairperson; Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce Board Vice-president, Civic Affairs; Friends of the Library Board; Hermosa Beach View and Valley Schools PTO President; Hermosa Beach Little League Treasurer.

My husband, John, and I have been residents of Hermosa Beach for 20 years. Our son, Tom, attended Hermosa Beach Schools.

I shall bring to the council a history of participation and record of leadership in the community, respect for all citizens of Hermosa Beach, strong work ethic, personal integrity and a promise of responsible government conducted in a professional manner.

Every Hermosa Beach citizen's concerns are important. As your council representative I shall work to maintain your safety and welfare by supporting our police and fire/paramedic departments; continue to enhance your quality of life with public facilities, services and programs for all age groups; utilize a city wide approach to planning traffic circulation and street repairs; attract and support a balanced mixture of viable and stable businesses.
