I moved to Hermosa Beach 12 years ago after graduating from U.C. Santa Barbara. I have been married to my wife Susan for seven years and we have three children under the age of five.

While building our home in Hermosa Beach, I became aware of the mismanagement, indifference, and unresponsiveness of City government. The current Hermosa Beach City government services itself and not the residents. As a member of the City Council, I will work to make City government more responsive to residents and will make sure that the City Manager and City employees are well trained and competent. I will make sure that things get done on time and within the approved budgets.

As a parent, maintaining our parks and beaches and keeping our neighborhoods safe will also be my top priorities. As a commercial real estate broker specializing in restaurant and retail development, I will use my experience to attract family friendly businesses to Hermosa Beach. Drawing on my professional experience and personal experience building my own home, I will fight to standardize building requirements to prevent arbitrary decision-making on the part of City staff and reduce City taxes and fees for residents and local businesses.
