I would like your vote!

I have owned a home in Hermosa Beach since 1981 and am married with a teenage son. I have a BA in Political Science from Brooklyn College and an MA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College.

An effective community leader sets examples by:

Devoting significant personal time to community projects
Being honest, creative and a consensus builder.

I have demonstrated these qualities by my experience in public service:

City of Manhattan Beach employee 22 years - Risk Manager for 12 years
Board Member and Safety Officer - Hermosa Beach Little League
Hermosa Beach Parks and Recreation Commission, with these accomplishments:

Creation of "Friends of the Park" a non profit foundation to raise monies for needed park equipment,
Better promotion of senior services
Grant funding for the Historical Society.

If elected I will focus my attention on:

Maximizing City's budget due to impacts of State fiscal crisis
Enhance City disaster preparedness program
Create economic incentives to attract businesses
Upgrading Park facilities and street maintenance
Maintain spending of CIP funds for street and sewer repair
Strengthen partnership with the School District to maximize services
Strong Support of Public Safety services
