Statement of Charlie Cheatham
Candidate for Hermosa Beach City General Municipal Election
Member of the City Council
Age: 45
Occupation: Public Works Commissioner
Dear Voter,
Listening to our residents and working hard to resolve their concerns are my top priorities. I have dedicated my life to public service, working for the government managing contracts in the aerospace industry, and serving Hermosa Beach as Chairman of the Public Works Commission. I originally moved to the South Bay in 1979 because of the excellent quality of life, and I want to continue focusing on this for Hermosa Beach residents. I hold an engineering degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a masters degree from USC. I am qualified to make a difference.
As your City Councilmember I will:
- Continue to spearhead repairing our streets and sewers
- Get police to focus more on resident's concerns
- Support our schools and make this city even safer for kids
- Improve the quality of city government and eliminate waste
- Support our parks and add areas for pet owners to get together
- Change and enforce the permit process to prevent restaurants from turning into bars
- Support the Hermosa Beach Resident's Bill of Rights
I pledge more open and caring communication between the City Council and the residents of Hermosa Beach. Please contact me at (310) 798-4225 to discuss your concerns.
Sincerely,
Charlie Cheatham
