The City subsidizes bus passes for seniors/disabled, high school and college/vocational students.

The resident must first obtain an MTA Identification Card or an Access Paratransit Card prior to purchasing the monthly stickers.

To request a card from MTA you must do one of the following:

• Pick up an application in the Finance Cashier office at 1315 Valley Drive, Hermosa Beach, complete the form, attach a copy of your ID for age verification (you must be at least 62 years old) and one (1) passport photo.
• Send a written request including your name, address, city and phone number. Include a copy of your ID for age verification and one (1) passport photo.

When purchasing the monthly sticker, proof of current Hermosa Beach residency is required (e.g. utility bill, bank statement, or credit card statement less than 30 days old). Parents and guardians of students may provide proof of residency.

Bus stickers are sold from the 25th of the prior month to the 10th of the month in which the pass is valid. Pricing is $5.60 for seniors/disabled, high school is $10.60 and college/vocational is $15.80.
