APPROVAL OF MINTUES FROM THE MAY 2, 2005 AND JULY 11, 2005 MEETINGS
A motion was made by Commissioner Dreher and seconded by Commissioner Levine to approve the minutes as submitted. The motion carried unanimously.

PRESENTATION BY VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS ON FIBER TO THE PREMISIS PROJECT AND PROPOSED VIDEO SERVICES
A presentation was made by Tommy Curb of Verizon Communications regarding the Company’s FTTP project and plans to offer video services in Hermosa Beach. Following questions by the Commission, staff advised that a draft franchise agreement would be presented at a future Commission meeting for review and comment.

REPORT ON CABLE TELEVISION COMMUNITY SURVEY
Staff gave an overview of the results of the Cable Television Community survey. The Commission identified two primary areas of concern that were reflected in the survey results as being the high cost of the service and poor customer service. The Commission requested a representative from Adelphia provide a response to and action plan for addressing the concerns identified in the survey at a future Commission meeting.

A motion was made by Chairperson Ellis and seconded by Commissioner Ferguson to adjourn the meeting. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
